Okay, so two posts in two days…y’all are lucky? I probably would not have bothered posting, however I was reading Dan Savage’s column, Savage Love, tonight and I felt compelled to link to him because he mentioned Sanford. I love Dan Savage because he writes some damned funny shit, and his real, honest, if not sometimes tactless responses to those who write in to his column literally make me laugh out loud…haha. In this particular column, a reader wrote in to suggest a new term or phrase for when someone is cheating on their spouse. Dan has helped to coin such things when a notorious figure does something shitty. Google “Santorum” and you will see what I mean.

…think of all the people who’ve cheated and gotten caught. Now think about all the people who’ve cheated and gotten away with it. Our idealized notions about sex—within marriage and without—are at war with who and what we are. Sex is powerful; relationships are fragile. Why on earth do we insist on pitting them against each other?

The post in question contains this snippet and it’s the very last one at the bottom of the page…enjoy. Maybe you’ll enjoy reading his column…but be forewarned…the four letter word leery people may want to shy away… Of course, I enjoy vulgar language, but if you can look past the words then I think you may enjoy it (but the answers won’t be nearly as hilarious).
