Got the Server back up and running.  Used chkdisk as suggested by Jared in a comment on my previous post, but no dice.  It was worth a shot.  I Googled some and found a software program that recovers items from deleted or unpartitioned drives.  It found my database files for the reporting software!!  I copied [...]

I just spent 5 hours at the fire department getting 3 of 4 remaining computers on the domain and with some software installed (Symantec AVS, fire reporting software, paging software).  It’s not hard, just a bunch of waiting sometimes.  I also un-f’ed one of our older computers so it can be reused in another office.  [...]
