Been a while

By Chris | February 26, 2008

I’ve been a little busy.  Day 5 of 7 straight work days is tomorrow.  We had CAD training Mon and Tue, my scheduled days off that were scheduled not off?  lol.  I won’t lie and say I was okay with it, but you gotta do what you gotta do.  Did three 12 hour shifts all weekend and then two days of training followed by two more 12 hour shifts on Wed and Thu.  Yeah.  So… 60+ hours…I’m beat.  The CAD looks nice, it’s going to be a nice change, actually.  The bits and pieces that we were shown before made me question it, but now that I’ve seen it in action it’s going to be nice.  Very intuitive and less complex than our current software.  Couple of bugs were discovered, but they seemed receptive to fixing them.  They did a lot of upgrades and changes that we had requested, and it was nice to see them in operation.

It’s pouring outside.  Fine with me.  We need the rain.  Waters the garden too (when I remember to take the plastic frost protection off the hoops).

My term paper for Financial Accounting is finished - 90% anyways.  I am going to bring my draft to class tomorrow so I can clarify some of the questions I’ve got.

I registered for two more classes starting in March.  An online one,  Business Law - which I took a class on in HS, and for a regular classroom course here at CAFB ‘Social Responsibility and Ethics.’  Ethics?  What are those?  Haha.  I think that one is going to be a good deal of work, but it looked interesting from the syllabus I read on the Charleston Center’s web page.  The online course ends in June, and the classroom one in May and then I’ll sign up for two more.  Only caveat for this term is if I can get the three hours covered on Mondays.  We’ll see.  Can always drop it I suppose.

I’m bored.  So I think I’m off to bed (and it’s before 10 even!).
