So when do we get our keys?

I got my property tax bill for my truck the other day. Of the $188.68 due, 84% of it ($159.02) is for the school district I don’t use. The percentage went up from last year. My question is, since we as tax payers (even those of us, like me, who have no kids or otherwise do not utilize the schools (homeschoolers)) pay for so much of the schools, when do we get our keys to the building? I mean, I paid for part of it, I’d like to be able to use what I pay for. Maybe BCSD could save us some money and stop building schools that look like the Taj Mahal and start building schools that are functional. Function first - beauty later!
What’s very reassuring is someone who has a dozen kids, rents an apartment or a house, and has the same tax rate I do pays the same. (rolls eyes)
I’d rather pay a little more on my taxes for Cypress Gardens to remain in the black - at least it’s something I can use.
