Whew!

McCain beat out Huckabee. Thankfully. Next weekend I am going to try and vote in the Democratic Primary, even though I have to work :-( I think there is something somewhere that says employers are supposed to give you the opportunity to vote in such things. In any event - I’ve never voted in a primary - I imagine it’s not too different, maybe with significantly less choices? We shall see, I suppose.
I got wasted on Friday night - my poor liver. I had a good time, yet Saturday sucked - I felt like poo for most of the day. It was rainy out, so it was a sit-around-and-watch-TV-day.
Despite my general feeling of malaise, I managed to get an assignment in for my online class. That class is proving easier than I thought it would be, though I imagine this could be a false sense of security and I somehow imagine I’ll suck at it. I have a 4.0 GPA (hehe the one class last year), so I am hoping that I will do well at it. I have to maintain a certain GPA or the VA won’t pay me the moola for the class. The financial accounting class is going well thus far, our third meeting is this Wednesday. The only problem is I do the homework early, they want it in Excel, and I kick ass in Excel (yeah, I’m a nerd. (sigh)), so I do it early and I get bored in class because I’ve already done what they go over. My online class ends the first week of February, so I’ve to come up with another one to get started after that so I can get all this junk overwith and get the shiny piece of paper that says I spent a lot of time and a lot of the governments money to get it.
It’s been nice and cold lately! I love it. Makes me miss the winters up in Pennsylvania. It was 19 degrees in Whitehall today though… a little toooo cold. I’ll stick with the 40’s here. I miss snow though. I think I am off to Wally Whirled to battle rednecks, mullets, sniffling children, camouflage/hunting gear and wifebeaters to get some groceries. Or I might just go to Bi-Lo, which is a little more expensive, but I think their produce and meat are better.
I got an electric toothbrush this week, the Oral-B Professional Care 6450 Triumph. I don’t know that ‘triumph’ is a name I would choose for a toothbrush, but then I’m not in marketing. Amanda got one from work so it was significantly cheaper. It does a good job, and has a little timer so you know when you can move on to another portion of your mouth. Two minutes is a long time to brush but I guess it goes fast. My teeth are nice and smooth when I’m done though…I used to miss some spots with the regular brush.
This was a very random post. Oh well.
