Operator: Police Department, can I help you?
Caller: Yeah, did the police come out to 300 Smithson Street last night?
O: I don’t show anything out there last night, or for that last several months…
C: Well, can I talk to whoever is in charge?
O: May I ask who’s calling, and why?
C: I wanna know why the police were banging on my door last night around 2AM…
O: I don’t show anything in there for that address last night, so I don’t know what it might be for. Are you sure it was our police, and not another agency? Did you answer the door?
C: No.
O: Well, had you answered the door, maybe they might have told you what was going on? But I’ll transfer you to the duty supervisor, maybe he can help you…
I mean seriously, why wouldn’t you answer the door if you were so curious? I’ll add that the real address in question is a low-income housing area. So… we get lots of people like this… those who won’t help us help them, but demand things from us all the time. It’s a team effort, idiots.. help us out.
