Suspect Info: Five suspects in custodyConstable Bailey was shot and killed just after conducting a vehicle stop.Constable Bailey had just cleared a traffic stop in Lincolnville and was on the street where two suspects lived when several shots sounded and radio contact was lost. When other officers arrived at the scene, Constable Bailey was gone. His constable’s cap, two pistols, several shell casings and a large pool of his blood were found in the street and the yard of small home on the street. His cruiser was later found burning about five miles away.
A five day search for Constable Bailey ended when his body was discovered in a shallow grave about 50 miles from where he was last seen.
Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Constable Bailey.
Constable Bailey had served for five years and a South Carolina State Constable and had previously served with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Department.

Via the Officer Down Memorial Page. I hope that the pieces of trash that were involved get the maximum penalty. Of the whole number of people involved, it’s amazing to me that none of them thought “This is wrong, I shouldn’t be doing this.” There’s likely more people involved too.
