Sonuva!

Well, my damned glasses broke today. I guess I was about due since the frames are about 8 years old or so. The lenses are maybe 4 or 5. I had put the newer lenses in the older frames in 2004 when I broke the newer frames (same model, etc).

They broke right at the weld above the bridge. I’ve got an appointment to get my eyes examined (it’s been since like 2003ish when I got it done free while in the USAF) and now I’ll have to drop some cash to get some new frames. Grrrrr. So many choices. I’ve been meaning to get this done for a while, but I’m lazy. This now gives me the motivation to get it done today. Fortunately I can still drive and whatnot. 20/50 isn’t so bad I can’t see. Just sucks when I need to read something far away. Well I’m off to go eat so I can make my appointment shortly after noon. Guess I’ll be postponing my Wal-Mart trip. Blah.

I have my eyes checks and usually get new glasses about every 2-3 years and I have been happy with America’s Best. Great prices, good frams collections and vewry professional exams. Check it out.

I use LensCrafters, they’ve always done a good job. My first pair was through them back in 1993. While in the USAF I used their optometry clinic and just had to buy the frames from LensCrafters. At one point I had gone to America’s Best over in North Charleston and I wandered around in there for ten minutes and no one greeted me, so I left. I think that was back in 1998 or 1999 or so.
