If you read this article, you'll see our Mayor seems to think that making fireworks illegal year round would prevent idiots form making pipe bombs.  Fat chance, idiot.  It'll just make an improvised explosive device (IED) even more fun to make since you're thwarting laws all around.  Typical governmental reactionism.
